Nigeria, February 24-29, 2004
Day 1, Tuesday February 24th
| In the morning we get up at 06:00. Frans van D. picks us up
and we drive to Leiden Central Station. We take the 9:45 train to Shiphol
airport. AT 12:15 the five of us ( Anita, Karin,
Frans, Marloes, Eva) take the plane to Milan, Italy. |

We arrive about an hour and a half later. After a 45 minute wait we take another plane to Lagos, Nigeria and the adventure can start! |
| At 9:30 p.m. we arrive and after picking our luggage from
the belt we walk outside where Lucas and Frans are already waiting for us.
Together with John, the driver we take a ride to the Shell compound. Along
the way there is lot's to see, what a way of life. At dark it is already
impressive!
After having a drink and meeting Stella's family John brings us to hote The Diplomat. I'm happy the room has airconditioning as it is 35 degrees during the day and at nicht the temperature stays around 25 degrees...OK with me! This was Day One and I'm already having a lot of fun here! |
